Books that are basically my assistants.

Handbook Price Guide
When I first started out, I had no idea about pricing. Charge hourly? Project? How do I know what to charge. Everyone has a different skill set, education and background. It has taken me a few clients but I now know how much to charge hourly and for certain projects. You cant charge per project until you learn how long it takes you.
Handbook helps graphic artists navigate the world of pricing, collecting payment, and protecting their creative work, with essential advice for growing a freelance business to create a sustainable and rewarding livelihood.
Grid Systems
This is a work of art, not only does it show you a variety of layouts but it explains why and how to use those layouts. This book is my graphic design assistant.
Since the 1950s grid systems help the designer to organize the graphic elements and have become a world wide standard. This volume provides guidelines and rules for the function and use for grid systems from 8 to 32 grid fields which can be used for the most varied of projects, the three-dimensional grid being treated as well.
90 Day Brand Plan
I have completed a few branding projects so far and this book has helped me hone in on certain areas, not only to benefit myself but also my clients. I love this book.
In The 90 Day Brand Plan: A Step-by-Step Guide to Mastering the Art of Branding, celebrated branding agency founder and influencer Dain Walker delivers an expert roadmap to harnessing your authority, credibility, and skills in your field to create consistent money-making opportunities.

PODCASTS IM CURRENTLY LISTENING TO.
These have helped me redefine my process, pricing methods, how to speak to clients. Plus what's happening in the industry, what they learnt from their best/worst clients. All this wonderful information is slowly helping me build my business into bigger, better and more beautiful things.
Brand Your Brain
Brand Your Brain is the no-BS podcast where designers submit their creative confessions and I share them along with my own to show the unfiltered reality of running a creative business. Brand Your Brain is here to show that embracing your vulnerabilities, unique experiences, and personality can help you build a stronger brand.
